This workshop invites you to explore landscape painting through fresh and unconventional perspectives. When we think of landscapes, we often picture horizons, foregrounds and backgrounds, or aerial and linear perspectives. But what happens when we let go of those familiar frameworks?

In deze cursus leer je hoe je acrylverf kunt gebruiken als medium om mee te schilderen door middel van een onderzoekende aanpak. In de les ligt de nadruk op creativiteit en het plezier van het creatieve proces zonder dat je uitgebreide technische kennis nodig hebt. Fundamentele technieken worden intuïtief verkend. In deze cursus gaan we onder andere snelle schetsen maken om te experimenteren met streken en texturen, abstracte werken verkennen met de nadruk op vrijheid van expressie, licht en schaduw in landschappen bestuderen en lagen en mengvormen aanbrengen in stillevens.

Elke sessie richt zich op een specifieke techniek of stijl en bouwt zo een brede set vaardigheden op waarmee studenten zich creatief kunnen uitdrukken en hun eigen stijl kunnen ontwikkelen. Door middel van demonstraties, leuke creatieve oefeningen en begeleide projecten zullen studenten onderzoeken hoe ze acrylverf op verschillende manieren kunnen gebruiken om unieke en dynamische kunstwerken te creëren.

This course is designed to help students explore a range of painting techniques and their passions. Each session will focus on a specific technique or style, building a broad set of skills that will allow students to express themselves creatively and develop their own style. Through demonstrations, fun creative exercises, and guided projects, students will explore how to use acrylics in different ways to create unique and dynamic artwork.
In this course you will learn how to navigate acrylics as a medium for painting using an exploration-based approach. In class we will focus on creativity and the joy of the creative process without a need for extensive technical knowledge. Fundamental techniques will be explored intuitively. Some of what you can expect in this course will be making quick sketches to experiment with strokes and textures, exploring abstract works with a focus on freedom of expression, studying light and shadow in landscapes, and layering and blending through still-life painting.
